Does Chef By Request require a deposit to reserve a date? Chef By Request (CBR) requires a non-refundable deposit to reserve any date. Deposits are typically $500 for social/corporate events and $1000 for reserved wedding dates. Deposits may be subject to change based on type and size of the event to take place. Full payment is due upon arrival of the scheduled function date.
Does Chef by Request offer tastings? Here at CBR we understand how important the dining experience is to your special day or event. We are committed to satisfying the specific taste of all our clients. We offer customized tastings from our full service menu to give you the opportunity to sample the quality and care that will go into your dining experience. * Restrictions apply in regards to availability of specialty products & smaller event guest counts.
Can CBR provide bar service for my event? Absolutely! Whether it’s assorted sodas and bottled water to full premium bar, CBR’s licensed and insured bar staff will ensure your guests receive the best service possible. Chef By Request offers several different bar options ranging from beer, wine and soda to full premium bar options.
Can I provide my own liquor, beer or wine for my catered event? While you may provide your own alcohol, a small fee applies if Chef By Request’s professional bartenders are serving your purchased alcohol. This is to ensure CBR and the client meets all insurance and liability requirements. Please ask your event coordinator for further details.
How much staff will I need for my event? There are some things to consider when figuring out how much staff you need to pull off a great event. Type of event, location, guest count and budget are all considered. For larger events you may require a number of servers, bartenders, chefs and event coordinator and for smaller functions you may require a little as (1) staff member. Staff will be determined based on your needs.
When does CBR require my final guest count? To ensure your wedding or event is of the highest quality, minimum guest count is required 7 days prior to the scheduled event date. CBR understands that there may be some last minute RSVP’s, in most cases we can accommodate any additions to your guest count up to 48 hours prior to your event. Once guest count is increased, it may not be decreased 5 days with in the event date.
I need more than just catering. What else can Chef By Request assist me with? At Chef By Request we are able to fulfill more than just your food and beverage needs. Whether it be rental equipment to floral centerpieces, CBR has the knowledge and experience in all areas to help plan that perfect day or special event. Please ask one of our professional coordinators how they can help you plan that important event.
The venue I have chosen requires certain information and licenses from the vendors I wish to use, does Chef By Request have this information available? The short answer is yes. CBR has all of our insurance and licensees available upon request and in many cases may already be on file at your chosen venue.
Is there a charge for my wedding/event coordinator? Your wedding or event coordinator will be helping you throughout the event planning process to make sure your day goes as expected. From your initial contact with Chef By Request to your tasting and the day of onsite coordination, our experienced team will be there for you. All coordinator fees are based on location, size of the event and any other special requests you may have.
While not required, gratuity is always appreciated by the staff working your event. They work hard to make sure you experience the perfect event. Any gratuity you feel is appropriate should be based upon your overall event experience. *suggested gratuity is 10% of food and beverage only.
The location I have chosen for my event is charging a caterers fee. What is that? Some locations do charge caterers a flat fee or percentage of your catering cost. It is important to know what those charges may be, for they will affect the final cost of your event.
Can CBR accommodate a last minute order or “Request”? Chef By Request handles several corporate and social deliveries daily; we have the inventory to handle last minute orders with no problem. We have a wide range of corporate menus to choose from. Whether it be a gourmet boxed lunch or a hot and hearty buffet our experienced coordinators are here to assist you.
